We offer health insurance plans thru BCBS, Golden Rule and QualChoice. When we prepare a proposal for your consideration, we will include an individual application. This application is submitted to the carrier thru our agency. The carrier can accept or decline your application based on your medical conditions.
With BCBS and Golden Rule, if you are accepted, you will have pre-existing condition penalities. Any condition that has been treated or diagnosed will not be covered for 12 months. However, covered prescription drugs are covered immediately.
QualChoice provides a Certificate of Creditable Coverage rider for an additional premium. If you have had prior coverage for 18 months without a 63 day gap in coverage, you are eligible for this rider. With the purchased of this rider, you will not have any penalities for pre-existing conditions if accepted by underwriting.
