When you become Medicare eligible, you will need a Medicare supplement to coincide with your Part A and B to give you full medical coverage. Part A offers hospital benefits and is free. Part B covers doctor’s office visits and outpatient services. The premium for Part B is based on your modified adjusted gross income; however, the majority of individuals will pay the 2012 standard premium of $99.90 per month for this coverage.
